We’re open Friday - Sunday from 12 noon.
There’s no need to plan ahead as we don’t operate a booking diary for the Rooftop Bar - just wander up and we’ll find you a spot if we can. If we happen to be full, we operate a virtual waitlist which guests can join via Reception. This allows you to continue exploring Margate while you wait, and we’ll send you a message as soon as your table becomes available. Alternatively, you’re more than welcome to settle into the Lounge or onto the Pearly Cow terrace while you wait; the sunset is just as spectacular from there. Just a small note for families: we ask that little ones under 12 years old head downstairs or home by 7pm.
Hoping to have the roof all to yourself? You can book the space privately for special gatherings - simply read on for details.
Classics, new mixes, or a dash of both - we’re rather serious about cocktails up on the roof. You’ll also find a thoughtful curation of local beers, special wines, and the fine art of the spritz, alongside crafted low and no-alcohol refreshers for those seeking something lighter.
We particularly love that golden moment when the sun begins to dip, sending a shimmering glow across the water. It’s when good tunes, a cold glass, and great company make the rest of the world feel a very long way away.
Plus, enjoy a magnum of rose up on the Rooftop and you can borrow a Polaroid camera and a roll of film to capture your time above the tides!
Order any Magnum at our Rooftop Bar & get a free roll of Polaroid film
At the Rooftop Bar at No. 42 Margate, our drinks menu is poured with sunshine in mind. Expect cocktail classics, fresh new mixes and spritzes made for lingering, alongside local beers, special wines and low and no-alcohol drinks crafted with just as much care.
Whether you’re in the mood for something bright and zesty, crisp and chilled, or deeper and more indulgent, there’s a glass for every golden-hour or gathering - and every kind of company.
50% off all cocktails | Monday to Thursday | 4-5pm and 9-10pm
Nothing beats golden hour on the rooftop - especially with Margate stretched out below you. Join us from 4-5pm and 9-10pm, Monday to Thursday, when all cocktails are a breezy 50% off.
Come on up, no need to book.
