IN LOVE WITH BRIGHTON

Free spirited, eclectic and lively - there is always something going on in Brighton.

Our team is full of Brightonians and they always know what's hot (and what's not!) and the best things to experience during your stay.

Theatre Royal Brighton

Theatre Royal Brighton has entertained audiences for over 217 years with a mix of drama, music, comedy and family shows.. This Grade II listed building is one of the oldest theatres in the UK and continues to delight. Autumn highlights include Inspector Morse: House of Ghosts and a new stage adaptation of The Talented Mr Ripley, alongside music nights from The Drifters, Justin Hayward and tributes Thank You For The Music (ABBA) and Spice Girls Experience. Comedy and live shows feature Elis & John, The Horne Section and Alan Davies.

Komedia Brighton

Komedia Brighton packs in stand-up, music, cabaret and club nights. Expect the Komedia Comedy Club alongside visiting comics Hal Cruttenden, Mark Watson and Stevie Martin, plus spoken-word wit Henry Normal. Music highlights include O’Hooley & Tidow, Kris Drever and The Primitives’ 40th Anniversary show, with rising artists like Muireann Bradley. Club staples range from Bogan Bingo and Spellbound to The Sassy Cabaret Club, with family fun from Comedy Club 4 Kids and Down the Hatch Comedy Club.

Oktober Fest

Throughout October Shelter Hall (a 10 minute walk along the sea front from the hotel) is hosting Oktoberfest celebrations.  Their 7 resident kitchens will be serving up a range of Munich inspired dishes, and the bar will be pouring two pint steins all month long.  Each Friday & Saturday evening there is live music from their Oompah band, plus games and competitions to bring the true tent atmosphere to Brighton.  Note that Friday & Saturday evening sittings are ticketed and must be purchased in advance.

Brighton Dome

Brighton Dome hosts an eclectic Autumn run: The Divine Comedy, CMAT and Level 42 bring indie-pop and funk; Suzanne Vega and The Stranglers headline back-to-back nights; Black Country, New Road deliver art-rock; Adam Ant, Mac DeMarco and Russell Watson follow with alt-pop and classical crossover; Baxter Dury, Cat Burns and English Teacher round out cutting-edge sets. Plus, the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival keeps laughs rolling across the venue’s spaces. Workshops and family shows complement the music.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion, is based at the AMEX stadium on the north side of the city.  Visit on a matchday to watch the Albion take on the Premier League. On non-matchdays you can visit the superstore or explore the incredible story of the club’s journey, from the brink of extinction on a stadium tour.  Autumn home games include Newcastle, Leeds United, Brentford and Aston Villa whilst the women play Southampton, Manchester United, Charlton Athletic and Leicester.

Concerts by Candlelight

Experience enchanting Candlelight Concerts in the stunning surrounds of the Royal Pavilion. Highlights this Autumn include tributes to Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift, Adele, and Hans Zimmer. Classical enthusiasts can enjoy Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Joe Hisaishi’s best works. These intimate performances, set under the glow of candlelight, offer a magical atmosphere in one of Brighton’s most iconic venues.  Perfect for music lovers seeking a unique and cosy immersive experience.

Mutations Festival

Brighton’s beloved multi-venue festival returns, spotlighting cutting-edge alternative, indie and electronic artists in intimate rooms. Expect tightly curated line-ups, venue-hopping between Chalk and other city spots, and the chance to catch next-wave acts up-close before they break. It’s a tastemaker’s weekend with a loyal following and a discovery-first ethos—perfect for adventurous listeners and gig-goers who like compact, walkable urban festivals.

The In Crowd: Mod Fashion and Style 1958–66

A captivating exhibition exploring Mod culture’s influence on youth fashion in the late 1950s and 1960s. From tailored suits and scooters to music-inspired style, this display brings mid-century elegance and subculture flair to life.   Alongside outfits and accessories, the exhibition will also include contemporary photography, film and ephemera tracing the origins, development and enduring appeal of the Mods.

Brighton Museum & Art Gallery — See the Sea

A sweeping look at Brighton’s relationship with the sea, from romantic seascapes to today’s lively seafront culture. It’s on until the end of November. Also at the museum over this period: The In Crowd: Mod Fashion and Style 1958–1966 (until 4 Jan 2026), Ben Sherman: The Decades (until 4 Jan 2026), and Herbarium: Flore de Petersbourg (until 11 Jan 2026).

Artists Open Houses – Winter Festival

Brighton’s artists open their homes and studios across the city, offering a unique, intimate way to explore local art. Follow curated trails through different neighbourhoods, meet makers, and buy work directly—paintings, ceramics, textiles, prints, photography and more. It’s a community-led highlight of Brighton’s creative calendar, ideal for a leisurely weekend and early gift-hunting.
29th & 30th November | December 6th & 7th and 13th & 14th December

The Brighton Centre

Only a 5 minute walk from the hotel, The Brighton Centre mixes blockbuster pop, heritage icons and arena tributes. Expect shows from The Kooks, Diana Krall and Simply Red, with HAIM and Bastille bringing modern indie-pop. Legends Bob Dylan and Gary Numan appear alongside chart favourites JLS, while ABC and 5ive deliver nostalgia. Big-production tributes include The Australian Pink Floyd. Seasonal specials range from Queen of The Night to Love Actually in Concert, rounding out a varied programme of tours and feel-good spectacles.
