Tucked away behind the grand Georgian façade lie three of the dreamiest suites in the building: two Bootham Suites and one Clifton Suite.
Once a grand drawing room and an opulent library, the Bootham Suites wear their history well. Think high ceilings, original fireplaces, and sunlight pouring through elegant sash windows. The Clifton Suite, just as charming, offers its slice of serenity, sitting pretty at the front of the townhouse, looking out onto where Bootham Street meets the lovely neighbourhood of Clifton.
Our Luxury Hotel Suites in York all include... Super king beds / Air conditioning / Lashings of Wildsmith toiletries / Nespresso Coffee Machine, kettle and teas / Still and sparkling water plus fresh milk / Steamer / Recycled slippers and Frette gowns / Bluetooth Roberts Radio / Sealy mattress dressed in a savoy luxury hotel topper and 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton linen / The right to raid our Pantry packed full of treats / WiFi / Hairdryer / Turntable (choose your records from the selection in the vinyl library) / Flat screen TV with freeview and chromecast.

On the first floor, in what were the library and the drawing room when these townhouse buildings were an aristocratic home, we have created two incredibly grand, born-to-be-loved suites. They are beyond generous in their proportions with handsomely high ceilings, gorgeous balconies, and super-king-size beds. And it’s very safe to say that there’s more than enough room for kids' and dogs’ cots or beds.
54 sq m approx | Super King | Family-Friendly
Hats off to the view from this room sitting pretty at the front of the townhouses, looking out onto where Bootham street meets the lovely neighbourhood of Clifton. It’s not just the view that inspires adoration for this room. It is a luxurious beauty of a suite with a super-king-size bed and plenty of room for little ones or four-legged ones. The bathroom has a bath with separate shower.
Parking is available at the rear of the hotel for £25 per night Monday to Thursday and £30 per night Friday to Sunday. Simply email our reservations team at no1.reservations@guesthousehotels.co.uk and they’ll be happy to assist.
If on-site parking is unavailable, there are several car parks just a short stroll from the hotel, including Marygate Car Park (YO30 7DT) and Bootham Row Car Park (YO30 7DU).
